The royal spokesman announced Jan. 14th that The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and Prince William's expected child will be born in July. The child will be the third in line for the British throne and is one of the most anticipated babies in recent history.

The spokesman announced "Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July." He also disqualified the rumor that the couple was having twins but the sex of the child was not revealed. The announcement also confirmed that the duchess was in better condition after suffering from acute morning sickness last month and being hospitalized. .

Middleton 31, is believed to be 13 to 14 weeks pregnant. The Duchess has decided to cut her public engagements and keep a low profile. Her last public appearance was for the unveiling of her official portrait on Friday, with many spotting a baby bump.  

Prince Charles also commented that he was very happy about the prospect being a grandfather. He stated "a very nice thought of grandfatherhood at my old age, if I may say so. So that's splendid. And I'm very glad my daughter-in-law is getting better, thank goodness.''

The royal spokesman also commented that Prince William will continue with his daily job as a search-and-rescue pilot. The announcement was made at the St. James Palace.

The couple was married on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey.
