Lolo Jones, the American athlete who is seeking to qualify for this year's U.S. track and field team to the London Olympics, is drawing good pre-Olympic attention not because of her competition results but for sex-life, or lack thereof.

Jones is a hurdles two-time gold medalist at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia '08 and Doha '10 and she was part of the 2008 U.S. Delegation to the Beijing Summer Olympics.

The female sprinter was recently interviewed by HBO sportscaster Mary Carillo, an interview that aired on Tuesday night.

In the interview Lolo, shared her thoughts about sex and being a virgin.

"Some guys told me that if I had sex, it would help me run faster," she said.

She confessed of being tempted at various times but said, "I want to wait until I'm married to have sex. I just want to have that solemn bond. It's a gift I want to give to my husband."

That wait, Jones frankly confessed, "Is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Harder than training for the Olympics, harder than graduating from college has been trying to stay a virgin for marriage. I've been tempted; I've had plenty of opportunities."

Jones, who specializes in the 100 meter hurdles is planning to run at the London Olympics, but will have to qualify first late in June in order to do so.

Jones is one of many female athletes who draw attention not solely because of talent, but because of looks as well.

Other female athletes and Olympians that fall into this category, some participating in London this year, include and are not limited to Russian pole vaulter, Yelena Isinbayeva; Brazilian pole vaulter, Fabiana Murer; Paraguayan javelin thrower, Leryn Franco and British jumper, Jade Johnson.
