“Frozen 2,” the sequel to the highly successful film of the same name, is not set to launch until after a few years. However, fans are already excitedly talking about the possible characters, storylines and twists. Here are five “Frozen 2” rumors that may turn out to be true.

1. A female snowwoman. MovieNewsGuide revealed that Olaf, the lovable snowman sidekick voiced by Josh Gad, will have a female counterpart in the follow-up film. The character will most likely be called Eliana. Disney has not yet confirmed the news but fans are optimistic that Olaf will have a romantic side-story soon.

2. The history of Elsa’s powers. The first movie, “Frozen,” did not explain how Elsa acquired her ice powers in the first place. Movie Pilot reported that there might be a backstory provided in the sequel, which will elaborate how the princess got her special abilities. Elsa is also expected to be happier and more fun since she does not have to keep her powers a secret and isolate herself from anyone. Elsa is also expected to have a potential love interest.

3. Miss Universe will have a role. In another report by MovieNewsGuide, there are rumors that current Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach will be given a role in the upcoming film. Disney artist Jimmy Mulligan recently uploaded a sketch of a character, alleged to be Queen Arendelle, with striking similarities with Wurtzbach. Some fans speculate that the Filipina might play Olaf’s new girlfriend while others believe that the Queen herself may make an appearance.

4. Elsa’s new dress. Telegraph wrote that Elsa will most likely have a new dress. Her blue dress has been a huge hit, especially among children. The movie producers may be looking forward to making another hit dress to potentially boost merchandise sales.

5. Anna will have powers too. There are also rumors that Anna will, later on, discover that she also has special powers, like her sister. Other talks even suggested that Anna will have a villainous role in the second film, Christian Today stated. Co-director Chris Buck previously mentioned that he wanted to take the audience on a rollercoaster of emotions when they watch “Frozen 2,” so fans should expect a number of twists like the first movie.

“Frozen 2” is expected to be released sometime in 2018. Many of the former cast members are expected to return, namely Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Kristen Bell.
