The game “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” is set to be released soon. In the meantime, Bandai Namco featured a new video showing the gameplay which pits the old characters against the next generation.

NicheGamer cited that the new gameplay footage showed Naruto facing off against his future son, Boruto. Sasuke was also shown fighting his future daughter, Sarada. Players who download the game will receive both Boruto and Sarada as downloadable characters.

Hardcore Gamer reported that the younger versions of Naruto and Sasuke were shown in the video, which lasts under two minutes. Naruto was struggling against his own child, while Sasuke was also defeated by Sarada, who also used the same techniques as her father. The fighting style and approach had a lot of similarities with the game’s predecessor.

The new video also showed that players can switch characters during battle. One character can build up the level, and then switch to another to execute a special move. Some of the environments in the game were presented as well, together with some of the techniques and fighting styles.

Based on previous gameplay videos, the upcoming installment will feature the same gameplay as its predecessors, where players will fight against each other in 3D arenas. Players can further bring the fight to the sides of the arenas and on the walls on every stage, Saiyan Island wrote. There will also be a number of features and abilities that will be brought back in the game, such as ultimate jutsus and awakenings. Players can further play switchable characters that share the same life bar. Players can expect to use many of the techniques and powers featured in the manga.
