LeBron James is a hands down choice to help out in the endorsement department and Samsung has commissioned the Cleveland Cavaliers’ star player once again as it tries to hype up the Samsung Gear VR.

James stars in a 12-minute virtual reality experience that comes with the Gear VR headset, titled “Striving for Greatness.” On what the VR experience carries, it takes eventual users into James’ training routine together with some Samsung plugs on their products of course.

The whole thing was made possible through the efforts of Samsung, Oculus Studios, Uninterrupted and directed by Felix & Paul studios.

The 12-minute VR content is available for download via the Oculus Store. Alternatively, it can also be downloaded from the Milk VR app.

Seeing how popular LeBron James is in the NBA, folks who have the Gear VR and are NBA fans are bound to enjoy this virtual reality experience which would give them a better look at how “the King” peps himself for his 13th NBA season.

Samsung is obviously hoping that with James’ help, the Gear VR will get some added boost despite already being mentioned as one of the hottest devices one can get this Holiday season.

The video ad can be viewed below, something that shows a lot of lip-syncing to a Public Enemy song. It was release on Christmas day and shown during the game pitting the Cavs against the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

James was, of course, the center of it all - doing some lip syncing. Unfortunately, he needs some work on it (lip syncing) when compared to the other guys who appeared. Then again, there are some things where James may not be perfect at.

Nevertheless, such is a small setback considering that his presence alone is already a big deal particularly for his fans and followers.

Overall, virtual reality seems to be making a serious run of probably making it this time.

VR hasn’t really made an impact in the tech world though Facebook top brass Mark Zuckerberg still believes that this technology will eventually become an everyday reality with the world eventually wanting one of their own according to CNet.

That, of course, remains to be seen in this fast evolving tech-filled world, but Samsung is obviously hoping it does. If so, it puts them once again in a good position of another new niche of devices and gadgets available in the market to date.
