It has been 25 years since the hit movie “Home Alone” was shown in theaters, starring then-child actor Macaulay Culkin, as Kevin McCallister. The actor recently came up with a spoof of the aftermath, indicating that Kevin was still traumatized after having been left by his whole family at home during Christmas.

PEOPLE revealed that in the premiere episode of “:DRYVRS,” a new YouTube show, Culkin, 35, played an irritable husband of an on-demand car service driver who had to substitute for his wife. Series writer and creator Jack Dishel played the passenger, who had to listen to Culkin rant about his wife and having to cover for her. The person on the wheel revealed that he does not even know how to drive so they swap places.

The two talked while Dishel was driving towards his destination and the substitute driver in the backseat instead. Dishel later told driver that he was insensitive for ignoring his mother’s phone call.

Culkin proceeded to share a popular story of a pivotal event during Christmas when he was only 8 years old. “You think that’s cold? How about this: It's Christmas time. It's f---ing Christmas and your whole family goes on vacation and they forget their 8-year-old f---ing son," Culkin answered Dishel.

Culkin continued that he had to defend himself from two psychopaths who attempted to invade his house. He said that the experience left him traumatized and he still has nightmares of a bald guy chasing him around. He added that his mom was too busy following a polka band that she did not even return to save him.

The rest of the episode showcased a grittier version of “Home Alone” and also included familiar elements like a home invader and how to use Christmas lights to capture a criminal. IGN noted that, at the end of the episode, someone tried to carjack the vehicle, but Kevin’s old instincts set in and he came up with a number of tricks to subdue the offender, just like in the classic film.

“Home Alone” is a 1990 film which became a huge hit, spurring five sequels of the same title. Culkin starred in the first and second films, IMDb wrote. The last three versions focused on other main protagonists.

“:DRYVRS” is about Dishel’s experiences with weird drivers of the on-demand car service that he avails of. More episodes of the show will be available on Dishel’s YouTube channel in 2016.
