The current year is ending pretty soon and 2015-themed listicles are emerging left and right. It's also that time of the year when we take stock of the past couple of months and see what made them different from previous years.

Google recently did just that and came up with lists of the top-searched things and people for 2015.

Interestingly, Lamar Odom led the way overall, followed by "Jurassic World," "American Sniper," Caitlyn Jenner, and Ronda Rousey.

"Lamar Odom, who was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and rushed to a Las Vegas hospital in October, took the top spot," ESPN noted. "Odom woke up after a four-day coma with estranged wife Khloe Kardashian by his side."

Two other people on the overall top-searches were also athletes - MMA fighter Ronda Rousey and Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, the Olympic gold-winning decathlete.

Overall, half of the top searches were those for movies and video games.

Among movies, "Jurassic World" understandably got the top spot, with "American Sniper" in second place, followed by "Straight Outta Compton," "50 Shades of Grey," "Furious 7," "Pitch Perfect 2," "Inside Out," "Avengers Age of Ultron," "Minions," and "Mad Max," as also noted by Digital Trends.

Oddly, the new "Star Wars" film did not make it to the top ten, despite the pre-release buzz stirred up by the movie's promoters.

The most-Googled video game this year is "Agar.io," with "Fallout 4" taking second place. "Mortal KombatX," "Call of Duty: Black Ops III," "Star Wars: Battlefront," "Pokemon GO," "Madden 16," "NBA 2K16," "Bloodborne," and "Battlefield Hardline" made up the rest of the top ten.

Among the memes, Pepe the Frog reigned supreme this year, "followed by the ever-great Rickrolling (whereby a video or message is interjected with Rick Astley's music video for 'Never Gonna Give You Up'), Who Knows, Florida Man, O Rly, Rick Astley, Jontron, Ceiling Cat, Bread, and Nothing Much," Digital Trends said.

Interestingly, "What is 0 divided by 0?" is the most asked "What Is...?" question, followed by "What is Ashley Madison?"
