A cast regular dying in the "Walking Dead" comes by quite often and has become one of the show's draws. However, it seems the next big death for the popular post-apocalyptic zombie drama might come at the expense of Maggie.

While this is still under speculation, the actress who plays Maggie, Lauren Cohan, has recently changed her look drastically. Vanity Fair reports that the young actress chopped off her flowing black locks in favor of a very short Halle Berry style.

The same hysteria also came when Andrew Lincoln shaved his beard. However, in that case, it was only because Rick was going through his own transformation on the show.

Fans of this theory also state that both Glenn and Maggie cut their hair in unison in the comics to show that they are going to attempt to move forward with their lives and for the life of their unborn child.

Cinemablend, however, claims that Maggie could indeed die instead of Glenn at the hands of the Saviors.

Possible Spoiler Alert is ahead. Reader, please be warned.

In the comics, the Saviors are a group of violent survivors led by a foul mouthed man named Negan. Negan has been confirmed to be appearing sometime in season 6 and will be played by veteran actor Jeffery Dean Morgan.

In one of the encounters with the Saviors, Negan chooses one of Rick's group to be killed to set an example of how far Negan and his group are willing to go. In the comics, it is Glenn who meets his untimely demise and Maggie is forced to raise their child alone and deal with the aftermath of losing her husband.

However, many believe that since Glenn has just recently survived an unlikely encounter with a large group of walkers, it is very unlikely that the producers of the show will have had Glenn survive and then die a few episodes later.

This is where the rumor that Maggie might actually be the one who gets killed by Negan comes in. Glenn would then have to deal with losing both his wife and child and would be a very large twist in the story moving forward.

While this is still speculation up to this point, it has been said before that almost all the characters in the "Walking Dead" are not safe from dying at any point. Fans will have to just stay tuned to see who is the next to go.

The second half of Season 6 of the "Walking Dead" will return to AMC on Feb. 14, 2016.
