For Apple device owners, many may have already gotten the prompt that iOS 9.2 is now available OTA and application. However, the question in people’s minds is whether it would be wise to upgrade to the said operating system or not.

It is the second major update and the fourth for the iOS 9 series, which Mac Rumors reveals comes with tons of major bug fixes.

Among the things to expect include improvements tied up with Apple Music, iBooks and Mail Drop.

As far as Apple Music and iBooks are concerned, the update makes it easier for users to reconcile the iCloud Music Library to check if song/s have been properly downloaded or not. Other than that, it also helps out Apple device owners to download whole albums or playlists as they require.

iBooks on the other hand will benefit from the support for 3D Touch. It perks up the support for books, content and notes, rendering dictionary support with a pressure push.

Audiobooks can now also be heard when reading, something that should come in handy for folks who may have vision issues or those who prefer to listen than to read.

The Mail Drop enhancement stands to improve the ability to send large files for iPhone/iPad owners. With the aid of iCloud within the Mail application, users can now send files of up to 5 GB.

Other than those three features, the USB Camera Adapter Support also gains from the update. After launching the said adaptor, folks can now easily transfer photos and/or videos directly from a camera.

Aside from those mentioned, other features to expect include better stability for Safari (browsing) and Podcasts, as well as the expected Siri support for Arabic.

Overall, iOS 9.2 hopes to address previous issues that iOS 9 has been suffering from, including lag that had reportedly been plaguing iPad Pro owners.

From afar, it seems that iOS 9.2 doesn’t really carry some ground-breaking changes, which should make it safe to apply. For folks who are affected by the major concerns mentioned above (i.e. browsing, streaming services, photo/video transfer handling and mail attachment issues), this should be something worth your while.

While it has been almost automatic to see new bugs rise whenever an update is made, there have been none reported so far.

It seems that the latest OS update was meant to offer better and smoother devices to use at least before 2015 comes to a close, as pointed out by Forbes.

Will there be a jailbreak soon? Considering there isn’t even a jailbreak for iOS 9.1 yet, something like that is unlikely to come out for now.
