To say that 2012 was actress Jennifer Lawrence's year is perhaps the biggest understatement. After her international box office success in 'The Hunger Games' and her critically acclaimed acting in new film 'Silver Linings Playbook,' being named the "Most Desirable Woman of 2013" by AskMen.com is just the icing on the cake.

The 22-year-old Oscar-nominated actress rose 46 spots from last year's list after her blockbuster performance as Katniss Everdeen in 'The Hunger Games' and her shining portrayal of a eccentric sex-addicted widow in 'Silver Linings Playbook,' AskMen editor in chief James Bassil told Reuters.

"Overall, there's a sense that she's a little more authentic than other actors," Bassil said. He added, "She's fresh because you haven't seen her all over the gossip pages for the past three or four years."

According to Reuters, AskMen polled 2.4 million readers on which celebrity they would choose as a potential partner. Lawrence was followed by actress Mila Kunis, model Kate Upton, singer Rihanna and actress Emma Stone. Reuters also reported that Lawrence bumped 2012's No.1 Sofia Vergara from ABC's hit comedy 'Modern Family,' who dropped to the No.12 spot.

Earlier this year, Rolling Stone named the Kentucky native the "Most Talented Young Actress in America".

Lawrence returned to her star role as Katniss in 'The Hunger Games' sequel, called 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' in early September with fellow co-stars Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne).
