Telltale Game's critically acclaimed horror video game, "The Walking Dead," based on the original comic book by Robert Kirkman will feature the sword-wielding Michonne in an adventure of her own. Thus, to tease fans of the series, the video game developer has released the first trailer for the upcoming mini-series game.

Initially revealed during "The Game Awards 2015," the 48-second trailer of "The Walking Dead: Michonne" shows gamers what awaits them in the mini-series.

The trailer briefly shows Michonne emphasizing his sword skills which she is known for. Beside this, however, the trailer highlights the character's encounter with various characters, as well as battle the never-ending battle with the walkers.

Additionally, the trailer might have also hinted Michonne's struggle with her past before the apocalypse, as in the beginning, there is a voice that haunts her while she is sleeping  -- a voice that keeps calling "Mama."

According to the report by Game Rant, the Michonne mini-series is an interesting take on the Telltale game series, as it will emphasize Michonne using a sword, a fighting style which is opposite to the common use of guns that were prevalent in the previous installments.

Moreover, the gaming news outlet cited that since the game is known for its story and dialog where the player's decision have consequences, the Michonne's mini-series will undoubtedly feature the same game play.

"The Walking Dead: Michonne" will have three episodes and will be a stand-alone series, as confirmed in a tweet by Telltale's director of Creative Communications, Job Stauffer. Thus, players are not required to own the second season in order to play the game.

As mentioned in the Game Rant report, the game will feature the events behind her absence between the comic issues #126 and #139, thereby filling the gaps in her overall character and story.

"The Walking Dead: A Telltale Game Series" is an episodic video game that follows the character who protects the young Clementine in a horror-filled world. The game is driven by the choices the players make, that can result in varying stories.

The Michonne mini-series game will be released on a yet unspecified date in February 2016. It will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, as well as on iOs and Android devices.
