Although One Direction will be taking a break, the group gamely admitted that it would be cool to collaborate with Latin singer Enrique Iglesias.

In an article by Latin Post, the British boy band was asked which Latin artist they would like to work with. Several names were mentioned, such as Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull, but all of the boys were in favour of Enrique Iglesias. Harry Styles and the rest of the group were vocal in saying that Iglesias would be the best pick to collaborate with.

"Enrique's got a new album, which is quite cool. I like that he has a lot of dancing in it. It's quite sick. He's a cool guy," Liam Payne said.

This is not the first time that the group has shown support for the Spanish star. In September, Niall Horan took a selfie with the singer when he watched him perform in Las Vegas for his "Sex and Love" tour.

So when they can work out their schedules or when the right projects come, they could definitely team up for a track. There are also rumors that the group will be teaming up with American pop group Fifth Harmony. The two groups have been spotted together. They even went clubbing in London during Fifth Harmony's European tour.

Rumors about the collaboration were fuelled even more when Ally Brooke Hernandez refused to make comments about their future collaboration plans. They did reveal that they will be working with Meghan Trainor and Nicki Minaj.

Meanwhile, fans of One Direction were surprised when Liam Payne accidentally blurted out that their planned hiatus will be extended. In an article by Mirror UK, the singer confirmed that instead of a year, the band will take a two-year break. The news certainly broke the hearts of their millions of fans.

"Obviously, we're all going to take a break for a little bit and consider where we are in the world," Payne said. "We haven't really had time to write an album, so perhaps two years off."

The boys were all in agreement that they need to take some time off. Horan said that they have been working non-stop for five years, and that they need to get away. It was later revealed that the tour has not been healthy for them as well. Styles reportedly resorted to an extreme coffee diet while they were on tour. The boys did tell their fans that it will not be the end and they will come back. However, with Zayn Malik's departure from the band, many are speculating that One Direction will eventually disband.
