There are talks that “Persona 5” will finally release in 2016. A lot of fans have been looking forward to the game releasing this year, but Atlus announced that it will become available in a few months.

Crossmap reported that game director KatsuraHashino and game designer Shigenori Soejima previously shared some details about “Persona 5.” Hashino said that they understand how fans are getting very excited about the release and asked for some more time. He added that they hope that the final output will be worth the long wait.

The two developers stated that “Persona 5” will restore people’s interest in role-playing games and they are very overwhelmed with how fans have responded to the franchise. They teased that there will be more teaser videos available in the weeks leading to the big launch.

“We still have a lot left to show, so so hopefully people keep an eye on us and wait to see what's coming up. Chief among those, in fact, are more allied characters that we have yet to show, but I'd say that we won't be running out of new stuff to reveal anytime soon."Soejima told Gematsu.

Based on a report by Realty Today, the characters in the upcoming title include Ryuuji Sakamoto, a blonde male who will be the main protagonist, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa and Morgana, a cat. They are students by day and work as thieves by night. They particularly target corrupt officials when stealing and can also “steal hearts” with the objective of saving the world from dark forces. “Persona 5” will have a unique twist since the antagonists will be going after the protagonists.

The Protagonist, was voiced by Jun Fukuyama. He is the leader of the Phantom Thieves, his persona is Arsene who wears a mask and has big black wings, Gematsu wrote. Sakamoto was voiced by Mamoru Miyano, Ann Takamaki was voiced by Nana Mizuki and Morgana was voiced by IkueOtani. Ann’s persona is a beautiful woman named Carmen, who has a bright red dress. Yusuke was voiced by Tomokazu Sugita. Yusuke has the persona Goemon who has a giant pipe and a kabuki-like face.

So far, fans and critics have given positive reviews to the released trailers.

Realty Today revealed that “Persona 5” will have more updates before it officially releases. The game will be exclusive for PlayStation 4. Soejima said that people in the meantime can stay hyped and sit tight until they finally feature the game for everyone.
