Rumors are suggesting that HTC will be launching its new flagship device HTC One M10 early next year.

LlabTooFeR, an HTC ROM developer, tweeted on Nov. 9 that the HTC One M10 will be launched in 2016, two to three months after the Q1 release of HTC One X9. If the leak is true, the company might feature its latest flagship model in the spring to provide some time gap from the X9. The HTC One M10’s price has yet to be announced, but many speculate that it would cost around $700, Android Pit reported.

Previously, the HTC One M9 garnered complaints from users due to overheating issues, thermal throttling, among others. HTC is expected to deliver more with its upcoming model to make up for the negative feedback. For one, the device is expected to feature a better CPU than the M9’s Snapdragon 810.

In terms of design, the One M10 might show some changes in the area below the bezel which includes the HTC logo. They might find more use for the extra space. Android Pit says that the M10's camera can even be better by enhancing its autofocus technology and optical image stabilization and putting aperture at f/2.0. Android Pit added that the recently introduced HTC Vive, an advanced VR headset, might also work together with the M10. The HTC One M10 is also expected to have USB Type-C support, and a 5-inch to 5.2-inch QHD display at least.

Master Herald revealed that the HTC One X9 will also be introduced early in 2016. The same leak stated that the X9 will feature a 5.5-inch display and will have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a pixel density of 401 ppi. The upcoming smartphone will have a 2.2GHz octa-core chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, expandable via microSD, and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. The design is said to be close to the One A9, with front-facing BoomSound speakers and a slim body with more curves. The device will include a 13-megapixel rear shooter and a 5-megapixel front camera. It will most likely retail lower than the A9, which costs $499.

HTC is set to bounce back in 2016 with both the HTC One M10 and HTC One X9 to be released. More updates and details on the two handsets are expected soon.
