Rumors about a possible iPhone 6c continue to grow and this time analysts are sharing common insights on an imminent coming which may happen by the middle of 2016.

The iPhone 6c should be something interesting to look into, something that may very well carry the features of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus only that the iPhone 6c will have a smaller 4-inch screen.

Chances are it will also have a colorful casing though a report claims that it may go metal than the good old plastic material that the old iPhone 5c had.

The report cites Jefferies’ analyst Ange Wu who reveals that Foxconn has made a huge order for metal casings which will be used on the rumored iPhone 6c.

Aside from that, ISH Technology director shares the same story though he only mentions the smaller 4-inch screen via the Cult of Mac.

But the kicker of them all could perhaps be the one forecasted by the ever reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who stood pat in believing that there would be no 4-inch phone included in the roster of new iPhone devices that came out last September.

Kuo called it differently when it comes to the supposed iPhone 6c. Rather than seeing a release this year, he believes that the device will make its debut alongside the iPhone 7 variants which will be powered by an A10 chipset.

More importantly of course is the fact that the said device will be the budget-friendly of the iPhone 6 line. Apparently pricing has been seen as the problem for some consumers when it comes to getting the iPhone 6s and 6s plus, something which may have forced Apple to resort to installment plans and price drops as oflate.

Though no pricing details are available just yet for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, it is believed that the next iterations will most likely be priced not lower than the existing ones available in the market.

Would the iPhone 6c be displaced alongside the iPhone 7 lines? Seeing that it is believed to be a budget-friendly phone, such may not be the case. In fact it could steal the show though the price disparity may not be prominent if set aside the higher iPhone 7 and 7 Plus once it does hit the market.

The timing of its release does seem a bit odd and raises a lot of questions especially on whether such will sell. The iPhone 5c didn’t exactly pan out good sales results but hopefully the iPhone 6c can do better with the budget-price pitch headlining it.
