There are talks that the HTC One M10 is set to release soon. The upcoming flagship smartphone is said to feature several powerful specifications that will put it at the top of the handheld market upon its release.

Tech Times wrote that the HTC One M10 is set to launch in March 2016, which follows the same release pattern of its previous flagship models.

Chinese website Mobile-Dad presented some of the first images of the One M10. Based on the photos, the HTC One M10 features a sleek and shiny handset with slim bezels and a metal case. There is a vertical line at the rear of the device that links the camera module to the frame, similar to its predecessors. The One M10 will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, which will release soon. The handset is also said to run on 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal memory, expandable via microSD. The device may have a 6-inch screen, although there are rumors that the company may also showcase a smaller 5-inch version. The display may have 4K resolution, although it is practical to expect that the M10 may have a 1440 x 2560 resolution, which is a smaller jump from the Full HD screen of the One M9.

Tech Times noted that the HTC One M10 may have a 27-megapixel camera, which is a huge improvement compared to previous models. The phone will further feature a USB Type-C port, a 3,500mAh battery and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Htcm10one also wrote that the model might retail anywhere between $650 and $800, depending on the specifications.

Chinese website MyDrivers stated that the HTC One M10 might come with a new name – HTC O2. The company has not yet confirmed the possible name change or whether O2 is merely a codename.

Tech Times also wrote that HTC is hoping that the M10 will help bring the company back in the smartphone competition and set itself as one of the premier smartphone manufacturers in the world. The HTC One M8 flagship phone was well-received, although the M9 disappointed several users. HTC may have learned from its previous mistakes and showcase a phone that will contend with the best flagships in 2016. Overall, the HTC One M10 is expected to be a “hero” phone, which will bring the company back to its former glory.

More updates and details about the HTC One M10 will arrive soon.
