Rumors for the Playstation 4 have been running rampant over the last few months and the system is due out in the next year according to reports.

Playstation Life Style seems to have uncovered new information relating to some of the system's technical specs. Apparently, the site found some job listings for an engineer position that has experience in GPGPU programming indicating that the upcoming console could have this kind of hardware. The GPGPU is essentially a GPU that also handles the tasks of a CPU.

The job description also indicated that the person must have experience with DirectX11, which would make for finer visuals including "perfect bump mapping, smoother characters, seamless level of detail, scalable artwork. In essence, it makes stuff look much better, with less jagged edges and more depth."

Finally, Playstation Life Style also discovered that SCE London was working on a graphics library for the upcoming Playstation 4 based on another job description for the division of Sony.

Other rumors relating the upcoming the Playstation 4 include the possibility of a device called the "Omniviewer." According to Dual Pixel the head mounted autosteroptic display would "track the users head and present a 360 image view with semi transparent AMOLED screens." With this device users need only turn on a TV to receive augmented reality information from this device.
