The first major update for "Halo 5: Guardians" has been released, and to no surprise, the highly unpopular Orion map has been removed.

343 Industries has decided to remove the Orion which as reported by Game Rant is filled with "player exploits" with some players also complaining that it is very hard to "fight out" in the map's spawn points.

In their weekly update, the video game developer cited that they will be removing the map for the meantime to fix the problems which gamers have reported.

"We're removing Orion, in its current form, from all playlists so that we can take some time to remove and patch map exploits as well as make additional improvements to the map before re-adding it where appropriate," 343 Industries said in the update.

The company also cited that they are also working on "multiplayer spawns" and possible exploits which may arise on the other maps based on the feedbacks and reports made by gamers.

On the other hand, 15 additional maps have been added in the game's playlists which previously, do not feature the added maps.

In Team Arena playlist, "Slayer" game type has been added to the Regret map while "Capture the Flag" has been added to the Empire. Other additions include "Strongholds" on the Plaza as well as the newly added "Breakout" game type in Altitude.

Meanwhile, maps such as Empire, Truth, and Pegasus have been added in the Slayer playlist.

Four new maps have also been integrated both in the SWAT and Free For All playlist including Empire, Fathom, Coliseum, and Truth.

According to the report by Game Rant, 343 Industries' addition of the maps in the "Halo 5" playlists aim to "increase multiplayer variety."

The gaming news outlet furthered that with the game developer's readiness to make improvements in the game, it could be expected that there are a lot more updates and polishing to come for the game including Downloadable Contents (DLC) as well as new playlists.

"Halo 5: Guardians" was released last October 27, 2015 and has been recorded as one of the "fastest-selling" Xbox One exclusive game, reaching $400 million in sales in just a span of one week. The game has also been the Guinness World Record holder as the "most watched video game launch broadcast."

Hence, with such success, 343 Industries is sure to keep its fans satisfied and maintain the hype surrounding the game.
