The latest confirmation that the superheroes in "Captain America: Civil War" are divided into "Team Captain America" and "team Iron Man" came from concept arts of licensed coffee mugs posted on Entertainment Earth website, first reported by Comic Book Movie.

As previously rounded up by Screen Rant, Team Cap or the anti-registration team has Captain America/Steve Rogers, The Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes, Hawkeye/Clint Barton, Falcon/Sam Wilson, Agent 13/Sharon Carter, Ant-Man/Scott Lang and Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff. The Team Iron Man or the Pro-registration Team has iron Man/Tony Stark, War Machine/James Rhodes, Black Widow/Natasha Ronaoff, Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Black Panther/T'Challa and the Vision.

The licensed mugs additionally confirmed that the Team Cap has his old friend Winter Soldier in the team, as well as Falcon, Hawkeye and Ant-Man. The Team Iron Man on the other hand was confirmed to have Black Panther, Vision and War Machine. There were also artworks that split the team into Freedom, pertaining to Team Cap, and Justice, pertain to Team Iron Man.

"Captain America: Civil War" is set for release in the U.S. on May 6, 2016, according to an official announcement from Marvel Studios. The film will pick up from where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" left off, Marvel said in its announcement. Steve Rogers will lead the new team of Avengers in their mission to protect the humanity.

However, one particular incident involving the Avengers will result in collateral damage. There will be too much political pressure for the Avengers to be held accountable and the government will implement a system to determine when to enlist the service of the team. This new status quo will cripple the Avengers as they try to protect humans from new villains.

Chris Evans is Captain America/Steve Rogers. Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark/Iron Man. Scarlett Johansson is Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow. Sebastian Stan is Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. Anthony Mackie is Sam Wilson/Falcon. Paul Bettany is The Vision. Jeremy Renner is Clint Barton/Hawkeye. Don Cheadle is Jim Rhodes/War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen is Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.

Paul Rudd will make his first appearance alongside the Avengers as Scott Lang/Ant-man. The film also includes outstanding additional cast, including Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones and William Hurt as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo are at the helm of the film. Trent Opaloch of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Elysium" is the director of photography. Owen Paterson of "Godzilla" and "Matrix" leads the production design team and Judianna Makovsky of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" heads the costume design team.
