The Playstation 4 is coming out next year according to several reports, but little is known about it.

A new Sony patent apparently suggests that the company is looking to add magnetic contact lenses to track eye movements.

The contacts would track eye movement, gestures and even blinking to enable players to control menus, games, and a number of other applications that would essentially open up a door to a new way of gaming. According to Patent Bolt, the patent was filed back in May 2011.

The site also suggests that that the lenses would ultimately be cheaper than the high resolution Kinect camera. That detail correlates with recent reports and rumors that indicate that Sony is interested in giving players a device that will can be placed or cling from their heads for future gaming.

A report from Dual Pixel revealed that the next Playstation may be playing with a device called the "Omniviewer" which is a  head mounted autosteroptic display that can "track the users head and presents a 360 image view with semi transparent AMOLED screens." With this device users need only turn on a TV to receive augmented reality information from this device.

The Dual Pixel article also asserts that the console will be named the Playstation "Omni".
