Gamers who have been eagerly awaiting what Kingdom Hearts 3 will have to offer could be in for quite a treat with recently leaked screenshots showing a possible Toy Story involvement.

Square Enix has been known to put to good use Disney characters for the game, something that was made possible with the tie-up involving the two groups.

Until know, Kingdom Hearts has so far focused on Disney’s original homegrown characters and the impending shift to the Toy Story franchise should be something to look forward to.

From the screenshot revealed via Gamespot, Sora along with Goofy and Donald Duck on a shooting ride that looks fairly similar to the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride that can be found in Disneyland.

With the said screen shot, Kingdom Hearts III could very well be expanding its coverage on Disney characters, something that a lot of fans have been longing for. Could this believed expanded coverage go beyond the Toy Story fame?

For now, all attention on whether the said screenshot is the only one that Kingdom Hearts 3 will have to offer or hopefully even more.

But the good news is that Square-Enix seems to be broadening its coverage on Disney’s wide landscape and the Toy Story integration (if indeed true) should make Kingdom Hearts 3 something to look forward to.

To date, other Disney-related flicks that have been tied up with Kingdom Hearts 3 is Big Hero 6 from Marvel. Apparently comic book film adaptation was the basis for one of the game’s worlds.

This is a clear sign that Square-Enix is slowly under the process of expanding the Kingdom Hearts game title though it may depend on the other property that is under its wing.

Other rumored Disney franchises that could be included in Kingdom Hearts 3 are Tangled and Frozen which could feature main characters from the two hit films. Aside from the two, characters from Wreck-it Ralph and Princess and the Frog could also be included.

Disney also has other notable IP acquisitions such as Marvel (2009) and Lucasfilm (2012) though it doesn’t necessarily follow that Square-Enix will be covering all of them.

Thus, the potential inclusion of Toy Story will undoubtedly be a big boost as Square-Enix tries to touch on IPs that are available for possible inclusion.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is expected to come out for the Xbox One and Playstation 4. The game is the 11th installment of the Kingdom Hearts series. Check out the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer below as show at E3 2015.
