Fans are looking forward to the release of the new HTC One M10. The upcoming flagship smartphone is rumored to be packed with powerful features that will make it competitive among the top handsets in 2016.

Yibada reported that the HTC One M10 might be called the HTC O2. It is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which has a speed of 3GHz. The device may also feature the latest quad-core chipset, making it among the fastest handsets upon launch. The HTC O2 will most likely have 4GB of RAM, a 3,500mAh battery, and 64GB and 128GB internal memory variants. The device is said to have either a 5-inch or 6-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. There are also talks that the HTC One M10 may have an ultra-high definition display of 4K pixels.

Furthermore, the HTC One M10 will most likely come with a 27-megapixel rear camera. It is said to have USB Type-C support, a metallic body finish with easy grip and waterproof and dustproof qualities. The device may feature the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box when it releases.

HTCM10One revealed that the HTC One M10 may launch before the end of 2015, or between March and April 2016. Previous models in the One series have always released in March, so the company might follow the same pattern and launch the new device around the same time next year.

Master Herald wrote that HTC is trying to bounce back after the lukewarm reception of the HTC One M9. The company will most likely feature the powerful components in their new flagship model to hopefully remind people of how great the HTC One series is. HTC did not provide a lot of details regarding the HTC O2, but it is certain that the company is getting ready to continue the series and restore its image by releasing a smartphone that will be both competitive and convenient for users.

Overall, the HTC One M10 is expected to be faster and more powerful than its predecessor, which had a 5-inch screen and a 1980 x 1080 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and 3GB of RAM. The One M9 also had 32GB of internal memory which can be expanded via SD cards. It also included a lot of features and connective capabilities, HTCM10One wrote.

More updates and confirmation on the official name and components of the HTC One M10 are expected soon.
