For most UFC fans, the highly anticipated showdown between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor finally takes place at UFC 194 this coming Dec. 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with fireworks expected to fly.

Actually, the sparks have been seen ever since early 2015 and the clash would have taken place at UFC 189 had Aldo not pulled out due to a rib injury. With the Brazilian mixed martial artist sidelined, Chad Mendes was selected to take his place against the Notorious.

McGregor expectedly came out the winner from that one though many feel that a better-prepared Mendes could have resulted in a different way. Regardless, all that is in the history books and now the botched match will finally take place, barring any untoward injuries leading to the December 12 fight.

There is no love lost between the two, both showing how they despise one another. There were numerous times when both Aldo and McGregor would seemingly come to blows but the proverbial cooler heads and control thankfully stood out.

So with Aldo seemingly holding back his emotions, one can almost feel that he is about to erupt. This early, Aldo has vowed that he will give McGregor a beating he will never forget and assures that the trash-talking Irish will leave the MGM Grand Garden very hurt.

“My focus is to win, nothing but to win, and you can be sure that I will lay hands on him like I’ve never done to anyone else,” Aldo says via Globo.com. “I’m sure he will leave the fight very hurt, and I’m leaving with the victory.”

Well, the animosity behind the two rivals is not really surprising. McGregor has been notorious for shouting his mouth off, not only at Aldo. But the thing is he walks his talk and such has made him someone following and apparently a bit that the UFC can do well with.

Apparently, the UFC loves all the sidelights tied up with this match so in a way, Aldo’s self-control seems to be commendable as well. But the question is up to what extent?

One can just imagine what will happen to these two in a month’s time. Both are good fighters and obviously well-followed. This stands to be a brutal showdown though it is hard to think that one fight will settle it all.

The thought alone is something that could spark further face-offs though it doesn’t look like UFC president Dana White doesn’t mind such from happening at all.
