UFC fighters Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne are not just dating, they are a couple.
Such came from the mouths of Browne and then Rousey, perhaps putting a stop to all the gossip regarding the real score between the two.
The reigning UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion confirmed that she is indeed in a relationship with Browne and that she is happy with it.
"I don't talk about my personal life much. That's why it's called 'personal life,'" Rousey bared through ESPN. "It's true that Travis and I are in a relationship. I've really enjoyed the time we have spent together and getting to know one another. And that's all I'm going to say about it."
Rousey’s confirmation follows a confirmation by Browne himself that the two are not dating but they are in a real relationship via MMA Fighting.
"Ronda and I started talking throughout the summer and I'll say now that we are together. She's my woman and I'm her man. There's no boyfriend, girlfriend stuff. There's no dating. We're together."
Both Rousey and Browne train at the Glendale Fighting Club in Los Angeles. Despite the situation, both say that the whole setup is not awkward as many see it because they have long been training in the same gym even before the whole buzz on their relationship came out.
Prior to the confirmation by Rousey and Browne, the closest thing that came close to it was that dinner the two had with a large group of friends in the West Coast. The sighting was brought up no less by Jenna Renee Webb, Browne’s estranged wife.
At that time, Browne was being investigated for the alleged domestic violence charges filed by Webb. It went as far as the UFC hiring a third-party law firm to look into the matter. Browne was eventually cleared before the end of August.
"This two-month period has taught me that strength truly does come from within," Browne said. "Sometimes saying nothing requires more strength than saying everything."
It remains to be seen if the series of events will turn out to be a distraction for Rousey as she returns to action in the Octagon to defend her title against Holly Holm.
Rousey and Holm are schedule to face off this coming November 14, for UFC 193 which will be held at the Etihad Stadium over at Melbourne, Australia.
Browne, ranked 8th in the men’s heavyweight division, is also expected to be back in action though nothing has been officially set for now.
