Verizon Wireless began shipping out its Samsung Galaxy Note 2 variant on Nov. 27, but today, Nov. 29, is the day when Verizon brick-and-mortar stores finally begin selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The Verizon in-store launch means that all carriers originally slated to launch the Galaxy Note 2 have finally done so.

Calls to various Verizon stores around Manhattan in New York City confirmed that the phablet is available for purchase in store. Be sure to check with your local retailer to make sure they have it in stock.

The Verizon Galaxy Note 2 is available for purchase for $299.99 with a standard two-year contract. The Verizon Galaxy Note 2 comes with the Verizon logo stamped on the phablet's home button.

The first carrier to begin selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was T-Mobile. T-Mobile launched its Galaxy Note 2 back on Oct. 24, the same day that Samsung held a U.S. Galaxy Note 2 launch event in New York City. Sprint was the second carrier to follow on Oct. 25, and U.S. Cellular launched its Galaxy Note 2 on Oct. 26.

The two largest carriers in the United States, however, took their time in releasing their Galaxy Note 2 variant. AT&T released the Galaxy Note 2 on Nov.9, and Verizon finally completes its launch today, Nov. 29.

All carriers except T-Mobile sell the Galaxy Note 2 for $299.99 with a two-year contract. T-Mobile charges $369.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate, meaning a price of $419.99 up front.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes with LTE support that works across all networks except T-Mobile, which is expected to release its LTE network in 2013. There is still an LTE chip inside T-Mobile's Galaxy Note 2, although there is no word on whether it will work on T-Mobile's future LTE network.

Let us know if you're picking up a Galaxy Note 2 this holiday season, and why.
