"Mighty No. 9," the spiritual successor to "Mega Man", finally has a specific release date.

According to the report by Game Rant, the video game's developer Comcept and publisher Deep Silver have announced the release of "Mighty No. 9" on February 9, 2016 in North America while worldwide release will follow just two days after on February 12, 2016.

The game, as cited by the report, will be coming to consoles and PC as well as every platform available for games due to the "stretch goal" incentive that "Mega Man" creator Keiji Inafune and Comcept included when they started the Kickstarter page to fund the project.

In "Mighty No.9," gamers will be playing a robot named Beck who was on a mission to find the villain who was behind the virus that made his peers in the Mighty Numbers robot combat squad as well as all the machines around the world go out of control. Gamers will face the rogue robots affected by the virus in a quest to save the planet.

Moreover, what makes the character of "Mighty No. 9" different is the ability to transform and reconfigure itself that will allow gamers to use new skills and abilities. This, along with the ability to acquire new weapons by defeating stage bosses, made the game more alluring to the fans and its backers.

The game reached its target funding just two days after its kickstarter campaign started. However, as mentioned by Game Rant, the game was supposed to be released in the spring of 2015 before being delayed to September 15, 2015, only to be moved again this 2016.

Previously, it has been reported that the game will have both physical and digital copies. The Physical copy will be available for $29.99 and will include a Downloadable Content (DLC) of an extra level where gamers will face Ray, Mighty No. 9's rival.

Aside from this, the game will also feature English, Japanese and French voice-overs as well as multiple subtitle options.

The game will be available for Linux, Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Nintendo 3Ds and PS Vita.

According to Game Spot, the game's digital and physical versions will be available only for Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U while only the digital edition of the game will be available to consoles like Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.  A digital version for 3DS and Vita is also in the works but whether it will be available on the release date is yet to confirmed.
