As most people continue to ponder on what Floyd Mayweather Jr. plans to do after snagging his 49-0 record with an expected win over Andre Berto, one name that has been slowly linked to his future plans is Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao is currently recuperating with an injured shoulder but does have plans to fight once more in early 2016.

Amir Khan and Terrence Crawford are names mentioned as the PacMan’s next possible opponent though a rematch between him and Mayweather is likewise been abuzz.

Mayweather has time and again reiterated that he is done with boxing and that he is not interested in a rematch with the Filipino fighter. Not even a nine-figure payday can reportedly convince him to get in the ring once more.

Before going that far, however, is Pacquiao interested in a rematch against the undefeated American who hacked out a unanimous decision victory last May 2 at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas?

As he is on the road to recovery, it seems that Mayweather is not among the first thing he has in mind. Being a lawmaker as well, Pacquiao reveals that his focus right now is to build homes for the homeless for his province of Saranggani.

On the matter, Pacquiao bares that he would be okay with it but seeing that Mayweather has announced his retirement, talking about it is practically useless.

He did, however, have some issues concerning Mayweather and this has to do with recent reports that the American boxer took in banned IV substances prior to their May 2 fight.

"What I want to know and clarify is, if he committed an offense, how will the rules be applied?"

It will be recalled that Pacquiao himself came under fire when he was not permitted to take in pain-killers prior to the match. They were apparently meant to fend off the pain on Pacquiao’s right shoulder which he incidentally did not disclose.

Moving forward, Mayweather doesn’t seem to be at the top of his list right now as negotiations are ongoing. Whoever his opponent will be, it will likely take place by Q1 of 2016.

With regard his political plans, Pacquiao has yet to make his intentions official for the 2016 Philippine Elections.

Pacquiao who currently serves as Congressman, is rumoured to be taking it up a notch by running for a Senate seat in May, 2016. His official plans will likely be announced soon and before the deadline for filing of candidacy which will be on October 16, 2015.
