Mariah Carey is ready to stick a fork in her divorce with Nick Cannon, who is "dragging his feet" on the whole ordeal.

The platinum-selling singer and mother of two appears to be ready to move on with her new Australian beau, James Packer. While she was in Los Angeles to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she made a pit stop to chat with notorious divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.

Wasser is known for winning major divorce settlements, including the Kim Kardashian- Kris Humphries lawsuit, and is currently rumored to be working on the Kourtney Kardashian-Scott Disick custody agreement.

Sources revealed to TMZ  that Carey, Wasser and fellow lawyer Melanie Mandles met at Nobu Restaurant to discusss the "pressure points to make Nick seal the deal on the divorce. They believe he's dragging his feet."

The 45-year-old diva married Cannon, 34, after two months of dating in 2008. The couple shares two children, Monroe and Moroccan. They split in August 2014 and filed for divorce in December.

Carey is reportedly protective of her children and fortune, accoring to Mirror. "Mariah is worth a reported $510 million, while Nick came into the marriage with just $500k," the publication stated. "The star is said to be keen to protect her fortune and get custody of the couple's twins Monroe and Moroccan. Since they separated Mariah has got a whole lot richer too, thanks to her lucrative Las Vegas residency, which started in December."

It appears that the "Obsessed" songstress is looking to add a few more bucks to her millions, as she is hoping to move things along with her billionaire boyfriend from down under, once the divorce is finalized.

Perhaps Packer will be Carey's third husband? Sources at Mirror believe so, since she went public with him. In an interview with "Extra," she gushed over the romance with her new 47-year-old beau.

Packer was not able to see Carey receive her star, however she had nothing but kind words for the Aussie. When asked how her absent boyfriend would make it up to her, she replied that he would not have to do that because he is away taking care of some very important business. "He's a very generous man," she admitted.
