The third season for one of television's critically acclaimed series is only a few more months away from its release. With such short time left, little is still known of the plot and cast for "The Blacklist" Season 3. Here are what we know so far.

The Season 2 finale episode shows us "Red" and Agent Keen running away from the the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The FBI turned against the duo who are now on the run, with some help from Red's old contacts.

Christian Herald reported that the duo will not be together all the time as they resolve their own problems. This will prove to be a very difficult road ahead for Agent Keen and Red as there will be other teams who will try to apprehend them other than the FBI.

Since Liz and Red have been in contact with at least one "Blacklister" per episode, Master Herald reported that it would be the same trend on the third season, scratching one name from the list at a time.

Some fans and critics are speculating as to how the show will progress, what will be added to the plot, what the twists and kinks are and how the characters will interact with one another. Since Liz and Red are on the run, the FBI will be obviously on their trail until they are caught.

Dark as the series' theme can be, speculations state that it will get darker. Questions pile up from fans such as: Since Liz and Red are now on the run, how are they going to find and/or capture "Blacklisters" from now on?

As far as the show's success is concerned, James Spader is one of the actors whose career garnered much attention. As fans would remember, Spader was part of the Marvel's Cinematic Universe movie, "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." He was the voice behind the movie's main villain, Ultron. Fans can easily recognized that calm yet menacing voice of Spader.

Spader will be back as Raymond 'Red' Reddington while Megan Boone will still play Agent Elizabeth Keen. Hisham Tawfiq as Dembe Zuma, Mozhan Marno as Samar Navabi, Amir Arison as Aram Mojtabai, Harry Lennix as Harold Cooper, Parminder Nagra as Meera Malik, Ryan Eggold as Tom Keen and Diego Klattenhoff as Director Donald Ressler will also return as regulars of the show.

September 24 will have "Blacklisters" back on the run as the show's Season 3 will premiere on this day.
