In 2010, Bandai Namco and Capcom announced what fans called a dream cross over. During SDCC 2010, Katsuhiro Harada and Yoshinori Ono revealed to the public a fighting game of two worlds: "Street Fighter X Tekken."

Capcom video game producer, Yoshinori Ono, is famous not only for fighting games, but also for a variety of other genres. Many will know he is the producer of the "Street Fighter" series for the last generation of video game consoles. Ono's other works include most of the "Onimusha" series, "Chaos Legion", "Breath of Fire IV" and many more.

Yoshinori Ono's "Street Fighter X Tekken" was released March of 2012. The game garnered great reviews from critics all over the world and has sold 1.7 million units as of March 2014.

Katsuhiro Harada, producer and game director for Namco Bandai, is well known for his works on world famous fighting games such as the "Tekken" series and some of the "Soulcalibur" series. Currently, he is working on a game title called "Pokken", a fighting game for "Pokemon" in the style of the "Tekken" series.

Recently, a report from Famitsu surfaced about "Tekken X Street Fighter." This report was then translated by Siliconera which reveals an interview with Harada. The producer was jokingly asked if Namco has forgotten about "Tekken X Street Fighter." Harada replied that it is not true and that the game is pretty far in its development.

To think that it has been five years since the announcement that there would be some other news of the game. Ono's cross over did so well, that leads the fans to question as to what's Namco's hold up?

Harada further added during his interview saying: "It might seem like we haven't started on it at all, but the character line-up has been decided upon since a very long time ago. And we've already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems."

Game Rant reported that considering "Street Fighter V" is nearing its release date, and "Tekken 7" just released for the arcade, it's hard to blame Namco for the delay. The release of "Tekken X Street Fighter" in between these games would only confuse gamers on which to play.

On that note, fans are just going to have to wait for further news. They will just have to imagine Heihachi fighting Akuma to death, or at least until a knock out occurs as Harada did not give any release dates for "Tekken X Street Fighter."
