The Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 smartphones are gearing up for a release on Friday.

The Lumia 920 is available for $99.99 when signing onto a two-year contract while the Lumia 820 is $50 cheaper at $49.99.

One-year contracts start at $299.99 for the Lumia 820 and $349.99 for the Lumia 920.

The no commitment price for the Lumia 920 will be $449.99 and the Lumia 820 will be $399.99.

According Shane McGlaun of SlashGear, "It's worth noting that both of those devices are quite expensive when you compare them to unlocked Android smartphones such as the $299 LG Nexus 4. If Windows Phone 8 is your thing, the off contract pricing might not be a big deal."

As he noted, the Windows Phone 8 will be the operating system for the two Lumia smartphones. Other features for the Lumia 920 device includes a 4.5-inch screen with 1,280x768 pixel resolution, internal storage of 32GB and 64GB, 8.7-megepixel rear-facing camera, and available in black, gray, red, yellow, and white.

Features for the Lumia 820 includes a 4.3-inch screen with 800x480 pixel resolution, internal storage of 8GB, rear-facing camera with eight-megapixels, and available in the same colors as the Lumia 920 in addition to blue and purple.
