With Independence Day looming and a long weekend looming this week, you're probably planning on how to make the most of the holiday. If you're still clueless, try travelling on a chartered flight for just $4 on July 4th.

"For the second year in a row, JetSuite, a private jet charter company that's been called the 'Southwest Airlines of charter flying,' is running a special promotion offering last-minute flights for just $4," Time Money reported. "That's for the entire jet that'll accommodate four to six people, mind you, so at most each person in your party will have to pony up $1."

On top of that low fare, you won't have to deal with the crowds, long lines, and cramped spaces. You'll even get to enjoy free Wi-Fi while you're at it.

However, do know that the super budget flight will only be valid for July 4 only and the destinations will only be announced the day before the promotion takes effect.

As such, the matter of picking a destination could be a tricky one and may end up becoming a spur-of-the-moment decision, which could be an exciting prospect for the more adventurous traveller.

Also, you'll need to do a stake out to enjoy this steal of a deal as only a few can be accommodated for the $4 flights this coming Saturday.

"Fliers can sign up on the site beforehand and create a destination wish list in order to be notified via text when a deal is available from user-designated airports. The company flies to more than 2,600 airports in North America," The New York Times noted.

Further, this promotion is only a one-way deal, which means you'll need to arrange for your own return trip. If you decide to return on the same chartered arrangement, you'll need to shell out $536 for a jet, which is still considered an economical rate. To lessen costs further, it's best to have six on board the chartered flight.

"JetSuite, which was created and is run by former JetBlue executives, and has attracted big investments from the likes of Zappos founder Tony Hsieh, has a business model that sells discounted flights on otherwise empty private planes that are en route to more standard charter bookings," Time Money detailed, adding that its routes include Fort Lauderdale to Fort Myers in Florida, or Hyannis, Mass., to White Plains, N.Y.

Would you dare cash in on this deal this coming weekend? Tell us what you think!
