In an announcement made by OnePlus, the newest model, the OnePlus 2, has been revealed for a July 27 release date.

Phoneonearena states that there will be an unusual unveiling for the Oneplus 2.  The OnePlus 2 will be having a virtual reality launch. This will enable viewers to "look around as [they] check out the phone in a new way and maybe even find a few hidden Easter eggs."

The new flagship phone will be released at around $400, according to techradar. This is a little bit more than the OnePlus which came out with a price of $299 for the 16GB model and $349 for the 32GB model. These prices have seen a recent price drop, $249 and $299 respectfully, in lieu of the release of the OnePlus 2.

The Chinese developer has released the information that their newest phone will use the octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. This processor has been found in other phones such as the LG G Flex 2, Sony Xperia Z3 +, and the HTC One M9. While there have been various problems with the processor, no one can doubt its pure power.

Another new feature that has been confirmed by OnePlus is that the OnePlus2 will have a Type C USB port on it s base. For those who are unfamiliar with the feature, the Type C type of cord can be plugged in either side making it easier to charge. OnePlus claimes that the company has made improvements on top of the Type C standard and wit the patents they have secured, these improvements will be exclusive to OnePlus phones.

The operating system the new phone will be using is OxygenOS, however no news about the latest android version will be available with the phone. OxygenOS features a off-screen gesture controls, which allow the user to turn the screen on and even launch applications with a hand gesture.  A built in file manager and several customization options give the user the ability to change hardware and software navigation keys.

The OnePlus 2 looks like it will be a hot commodity when it first released, the Chinese firm expects that the new device will sell quickly. Currently the only way to get a first generation OnePlus 2 is through invite only and the pre-orders numbers have been promising.  OnePlus also claims that they still have several surprises in store for their customers.
