The online audience has been responding actively on the casting of Tom Holland as the new Spiderman. Producers have explained that they would like to keep their goal of casting a Peter Parker who actually looks like he is in high school. True enough, previous Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, were both in their mid-to-late twenties when they landed the role. Tom Holland, on the other hand, is 19.

Now the third actor to play the iconic Spider-man, Holland faces a lot of reactions from Spider-man fanatics. Moreso, Andrew Garfield was well-loved as Peter Parker and many evaluated him better to the portrayal of Spiderman than Tobey Maguire. This fact may become added pressure to Holland as the new Spider-man. The reasons some netizens loved Andrew Garfield as Spidey are as follows:

 Andrew Garfield is a certified fan of Spiderman.

When he auditioned for the role, he brought a picture of his 4-year-old self in a Spiderman costume. He relayed during an interview that when he put the suit for the first time, he shed a tear. He is just like most of us, who grew up loving Marvel comics.

His charisma as Peter Parker.

Without too much of an effort, Andrew Garfield is funny, charming and brave. He has the right level of teenage portrayal and playful wit and sarcasm.

His chemistry with Emma Stone.

This may be one of the things that we will really miss. Peter and Gwen had the perfect chemistry and it gave fuel to the film, with something extra to separate it from the comic book films. Both of them are playful, sincere and are just too in-love, you can't stop staring at them. Scoop: They are back together after a brief break (and are talking about being engaged). We wish both of them well.

All in all, looks, posture, all around-pedigree: Andrew Garfield was the best Spidey there ever was.
