With the huge success of Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, it wouldn't come as a surprise if the giant California-based company decides to release another iPhone 6 series. There are rumors that an Apple iPhone 6s will be coming out on September 25.

The successful Cupertino-based tech giant made a lot of money when they released the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus last year in September. In fact, according to their Apple Press Information, they were able to achieve their "highest ever earnings and revenue" in the first quarter of 2015.

"We'd like to thank our customers for an incredible quarter, which saw demand for Apple products soar to an all-time high. Our revenue grew 30 percent over last year to $74.6 billion, and the execution by our teams to achieve these results was simply phenomenal," said Apple's CEO Tim Cook in the statement.

According to tech website The Verge, Apple was able to reach their highest quarterly profit in all of its history. This is due to the record-breaking 75.4 million sales of iPhone units. The company leapt past rival Samsung with an impressive $18 billion profit.

So while the demand for iPhones is still high, the company might take full advantage of it. GSM Arena reports that iPhone 6s might be released on September 25. This is still considered a rumor as Apple hasn't even made it official.

The rumor went as far as claiming that the iPhone 6s will have a 12MP high resolution camera and 2GB of RAM. With the speculated date of release, it's also assumed that pre-orders for the phone will be live exactly a week earlier.

IB Times reported that the rumored iPhone 6s will have an enhanced iMessage feature as well as secured file syncing with mobile devices and desktop computers. In addtion, Apple will adapt split window feature which has long been enjoyed by Windows and Android phone users. An added Wi-Fi security to be called as Trusted Wi-Fi and a "smarter" Siri are also expected.

However, everyone should bear in mind that these are all rumors. Apple did not confirm about the news. It has not yet revealed any details about their upcoming flagship. But looking through Apple's history, they have always released their iPhones in September. So it's safe to say that maybe in a few weeks or months' time, Apple might make a press statement about a new product.
