Both Obama and Romney took time off of the campaign trail as Hurricane Sandy devastated the East Coast of the United States, while the GOP candidate assisted in relief efforts and the president helped manage the crisis. On Wednesday, Mr. Obama surveyed the damage inflicted on New Jersey with Republican Governor Chris Christie

Christie praised Obama for having a "great working relationship" and that the president "sprung into action immediately."

When reporters asked the Governor about his thoughts on the election, he said "I have no idea, nor am I the least bit concerned, or interested. If you think right now I give a damn about presidential politics, then you don't know me."
