Activision's annual release of Call of Duty games has become somewhat of a tradition in the industry.

In a leak that will likely surprise no one, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is reportedly currently in development. IGN reports that voice actor Bill Murray, the pipes behind the franchise's recurring character Captain Price, let slip to This is Xbox the following statement: "Yeah, on Monday I am off to meet Infinity Ward about the next game, Modern Warfare 4. I'm doing work on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, it carries straight on and I only ever appear in the Modern Warfare games."

Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward tweeted, "Interesting news today, but it's not true. We've not talked with any voice actors, so all news is speculation."

While there is no concrete information supporting Murray's claim, the probability of another Modern Warfare game gearing up for a release next fall is to be expected. The only surprise is that the alleged sequel continues Modern Warfare thread of the Call of Duty storyline.

While Activision will likely refrain from announcing the next entry in the franchise for at least another few months, gamers will have to content their selves with Call of Duty Black Ops II, which launches on Xbox, PS3, and PC on November 13. The Wii U version of the game releases alongside the system's launch on November 18. Developer Treyarch is including an updated iteration of the popular Zombies mode in Black Ops 2, alongside its traditional multiplayer and single player offerings.
