It looks like we still have to wait a little longer for the arrival of the next Galaxy Note 5.

Who Wired reported that it was Samsung Electronics President Shin Jong-kyun who denied the Note 5 rumors himself during a meeting at the Seocho Samsung Electronics building last May 20.

Remember that it was also Who Wired which revealed about the arrival of the next phablet by end July. It noted that it would be earlier than expected since it was earlier speculated that it would come out September. The previous Galaxy Note series came out every September since 2011, drawing people to think of a Samsung Note 5 showcase at the same month. It even said that it the production of the device's prototype is expected to be completed by June.

"[T]he release plan was pushed forward by over a month due to earlier than expected development of Galaxy Note 5. It is also seen as a strategy due to shorter honeymoon time of premium phones and to fight back the iPhone fad. Released last October, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus surpassed 50 million unit sales per quarter, further consolidating its market leadership with a follow-up version this October. Especially, iPhone started to take over the big screen market, previously dominated by Galaxy Note, posing a threat to Samsung Electronics," to quote the earlier Who Wired report.

Sam Mobile has reported that the new Note 5 dubbed as Project Noble would have a 2K or a 4K flat-screen Super AMOLED display. It said that Samsung is still considering the two choices and has still not decided on which to pick.

It is believed that Samsung would go for the Exynos 7422 processor. However, Sam Mobile said it is still unsure with it. The report said Samsung is also pondering on putting in the new Exynos 7430 chipset on the new Galaxy Note 5. However, Sam Mobile is having second thoughts about the Exynos 7430 chip as it is "supposedly just an engineering sample" and that it "isn't ready for prime time yet." No other details about the Note 5 have been revealed recently.

Rumors about the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 came out following Sam Mobile's earlier exclusive report speculating on two new Samsung devices -- one with a model number SM-G928S and another with model number SM-N920F. Samsung has yet to comment on the device's specs and features.
