Batman and Superman will possibly face another powerful villain when they are not battling Lex Luthor.

There are rumors that Superman and Batman might be pitted against Doomsday in the upcoming 2016 film, "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice". Cinema Blend reported that Umberto Gonzalez, also known as "El Mayimbe," a superhero news tipster, shared on a recent podcast episode of "Shanlian On Batman" that Doomsday will indeed appear in the new movie. El Mayimbe also shared that the "Tell me... do you bleed?" part of the footage from the film was actually taken from a dream sequel, although he did not elaborate further.

Gonzalez cited that Doomsday will be the muscle among the evil characters, while Lex Luthor will be the main villain in the film. The tipster also said that the Doomsday in the new movie will appear incredible which can mean that the creators made the villain look as close to his comic book appearance as possible, based on the same Cinema Blend report.

ComicBook.com revealed that Doomsday is made from a combination of practical and computer-generated effects which can make his comic book appearance come to life, with the protruding bones and other unhuman traits.

Comic Book Resources stated that fans immediately found the Doomsday character in the "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer quite forgettable because he lacked substance. Hence, the scriptwriters might add a significant issue to shape the character more. Doomsday can be one of the most powerful threats ever to compel the group of DC superheroes to unite and battle him together.

Telegraph featured some of the teaser footage and pictures of the characters in the upcoming film. Jessie Eisenberg will be playing the role of Lex Luthor.

Gonzalez shared how Batman will be a shadowy figure that the government despises. According to him, Batman will be the key to tracking down all the superheroes in the film.

Screen Rant wrote that Joker (Jared Leto) and General Zod (Michael Shannon) may also make cameo appearances in the movie. The filmmakers might want to present Doomsday as a surprise.

Cinema Blend stated that in the comic books, Doomsday was the creation of an alien scientist who wanted to make the perfect weapon. The creature was made to survive the chaotic conditions on the prehistoric planet of Krypton to adapt and become powerful. Doomsday eventually grew very powerful and decided to murder his creator and go to planet Earth. He is best known for successfully killing Superman.
