"Gran Turismo 7" is reportedly in the works! This came after Master Herald reported that a new audio director from Microsoft has recently joined Polyphony Digital.

The new director is no other than Mike Caviezel, who is known for his work on the Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One racing video game "Forza Motorsport" and on other games such as "Ryse: Son of Rome," "Halo 4," and "Fable: The Journey." He has also previously worked for Turn10 Studios and Sierra Entertainment. Play Station Lifestyle said that Caviezel who joined Polyphony last April may be a nice pick for upcoming game, considering his background and accomplishments.

This is seconded by Attack of the Fanboy, also adding that Caviezel on board could mean better "Gran Turismo" sounds. The news outlet noted that one of the main weaknesses of the series is the cars' sounds, citing some fans who claim that the sounds were not as meaty as those which are in other games.

In a separate report, Attack of the Fanboy said that the upcoming game "would blow your mind." In the article, Polyphony Digital Community Manager Eric Fishback was cited telling fans at PlayStation Experience that the upcoming game would be the "best Gran Turismo you can imagine."

Not much is known about the new "Gran Turismo" game but Attack of the Fanboy noted that Polyphony Digital earlier promised that the "game will have better physics, AI and online options."

Master Herald claims that the upcoming game would be exclusive on the PS4. The news outlet sees this exclusivity as an advantage, saying that this would enable the developer to "push the game to its maximum potential without restriction."

Master Herald also cited series creator Kazunori Yamauchi who said that the upcoming installment would definitely be better than its predecessor.

"He said that the video game will run naturally in the PS4. He also said that he had a vision of doing everything that they can for 'Gran Turismo 7' which was otherwise not applicable in the 'Gran Turismo 6'...And finally, 'Gran Turismo 7' has better graphics because game developer Polyphony Digital promised better physics to make it visually astounding among PS4 gamers," Master Herald said.

Yamauchi was further cited in the report telling that fans could expect better sounds in the upcoming game. He also shed some light on the cars that will be in the new installment. Yamauchi allegedly said that they will add some "premium" cars to the remaining "standard" ones "to give gamers a new round of excitement." Yamauchi also reportedly said that standard cars could also be upgraded to premium cars soon and that they are really working hard to widen the roster of premium cars in the next video game.
