When will we finally get to see the official gameplay trailer of the much-awaited "Kingdom Hearts 3"? According to Master Herald, there is a possibility that we would be able to see it this August during D23 Expo 2015 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

It added that Square Enix might also announce the game during June's E3 event in Los Angeles. As for its official release, it predicted that it might happen at the end of the year.

"It would be a fitting event for Square Enix to launch the gameplay trailer of 'Kingdom Hearts 3' since D23 Expo is the largest Disney fan event in the world. D23 Expo celebrates all the wonderful worlds of Disney and unites all parts of The Walt Disney group of companies," Master Herald reasoned out.

Kpopstarz also backs this report saying that a trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 3" might really come out at the August event. Aside from the new "Kingdom Hearts" game, other games are also expected to be announced. Among these major titles are "Dragon Quest Heroes" and "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD," as revealed by Square Enix President Yosuke Matsuda via Siliconera.

Aside from this, IGN citing Gematsu earlier reported that fans would be able to see and know more the new game in the upcoming D23 Expo in Japan this November.

"We have some interesting things planned. There will be Kingdom Hearts III news, and various things, I think. Development on Kingdom Hearts III is going smoothly, but there will also be new announcements connected to it. As one of those new announcements, I think we should be able to announce a smartphone-specific development for the series in short order," "Kingdom Hearts 3" director Tetsuya Nomura was quoted in the report saying.

As regards character speculations, Nomura said, "We've been getting in some orders for prospective characters. Since there are a lot of characters from derivative works following Ramza, we're looking to select characters from numbered titles that have not yet appeared. Personally, I'm pressing for [Final Fantasy II's] Minwu."

Venture Capital Post on the other hand reported that there might some kind of delay in the release of the new game, also citing Nomura. Plus, it also revealed that the development team might actually be unsatisfied with the game's look.

As for the game's characters, there were earlier speculations that the upcoming game would feature new characters such as Elsa, Darth Vader, Iron Man, Snow White and her seven dwarfs, Mulan, Peter Pan, Tarzan, Simba, and Captain Jack Sparrow. But the rumors have not yet been confirmed at the moment.
