Rumors are circulating that the next "Fallout" game might have a multiplayer version. Culture Mob said that there were speculations that the upcoming "Fallout 4" which it expects to be launched at the E3 event in a few months might have the said feature.

The news outlet noted that previous "Fallout" game installments only had a single player option. But "Josh Hamrick has recently changed sides and joined the Bethesda team, a thing that has encouraged gamers to believe that Fallout 4 could roll out with a new multiplayer element."

However, note that Bethesda opted to release the "Elder Scrolls Online" instead of releasing a multiplayer version.

Air Herald said that there have been rumors that the next game would take place in Boston. "So far, most people think that Fallout 4 would be based in Boston, which is an interesting city to base the next game in. This is because in the Fallout universe, Boston hasn't been hit as hard as some of the other cities by the nuclear fallout in the Fallout universe. This means that the city has more new technology that hasn't been seen in the series before," to quote the Air Herald report.

As regards the platform, the two news sites speculated that the new game would be available on the newest consoles and PC.

While Culture Mob is looking at the new game being featured at the E3 event, there have been reports that the new game might not be unveiled there.

Bethesda earlier posted an invitation to its fans for its first-ever E3 Showcase. In the official statement posted by Matt Grandstaff, a Community Manager at Bethesda Softworks, it invited fans for the June event. This was accompanied by a photo which provided details about the upcoming event but Game Rant noticed that there was a list of Bethesda franchise characters that was put on the reserved seats. The list includes BJ Blazkowicz from 'Wolfenstein', Sebastian from 'The Evil Within', Cyberdemon from 'Doom', and Tall Boy from 'Dishonored'. It then noticed that "Fallout" characters (even a Pipboy or a Super Mutant) were out of the picture, causing speculations that it may not come out on the said event.

Meanwhile, an online user named Cyberland earlier revealed that a certain "Gino Cole" has leaked that the next "Fallout" game would come out in May. "A guy who works for Bethesda named Gino Cole posted in his LinkedIn profile that he has been part of the development team for 'Fallout 4' for 3 years now. His page also mentions that 'Fallout 4' is planned to be released this May 2016," Cyberland said. Master Herald on the other hand says it would likely be released in March next year. Bethesda has yet to confirm all these rumors.
