Will Microsoft finally unveil its much-awaited Surface Pro 4 laplet?

Based on the recent news report from the International Business Times, it is believed that the new device would come out this July. It said that there have been rumors that the new laplet would be released alongside the unveiling of the Windows 10.

And if these whispers are indeed true then we might finally get our hands on the next Surface Pro device this July as there has been evidence that Windows 10 might come out in that particular month.

Cited as source was The Verge, which quoted AMD president and CEO Lisa Su saying "With the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up."

But The Verge noted that Microsoft has previously teased that it would out Windows 10 "this summer." It is said to be available in 190 countries and over 100 languages.

We have previously reported that it is rumored that the new laplet would be unveiled in the upcoming Build developer conference this month citing DigiTimes' Aaron Lee and Joseph Tsai report. "Microsoft is reportedly planning to unveil its next-generation Surface Pro 4 tablet during the upcoming Build developer conference in April. The new Surface Pro tablet is estimated to enter mass production in June and will be released along with Windows 10 in the second half of 2015, the sources said," to quote their report.

Inquisitr on the other hand reported that it is likely that the next Microsoft Surface Pro laplet would come out this October citing industry analyst Paul Mueller who said, "The Surface Pro 3 is selling just as well as it did when it first came out. Even though people expected a June or July release for the Pro 4, it probably won't happen until Windows 10 is released. That way, Microsoft could capitalize on both Windows 10 and the new Surface Pro at the same time."

Motley Fool earlier predicted that the new device would just be an "enhanced version" of its predecessor Surface Pro 3 as its processors would be the only thing to be upgraded. However, the news outlet in a separate report noted the possibility of the laplet being LTE-capable. BGR detailed that the Surface Pro 4 is expected to be available in two size options -- a 12-inch one and a 14-inch one. It is said to be available with an Intel Core i5 processor or with a Core i7 processor. Its RAM is expected to be at 16GB. Microsoft has yet to confirm these reports.
