The rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is expected to come out in two sizes. Sam Mobile which had the scoop reported that the new tablet would likely be available in two variants -- an 8-inch one and the other 9.7-inch. These sizes are different from the sizes that the current Galaxy Tab S which is available in an 8.4-inch one and a 10.5-inch one.

But here is the latest update about the rumored device! According to the recent report of Phone Arena which cited Tablet Monkeys, the "4G LTE enabled version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2" or the 9.7 inches variant has earned Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certification.

"The upcoming new Super AMOLED tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 LTE have been both Wi-Fi certified as well as Bluetooth certified now, so we know that Samsung is getting ready with 4G LTE versions of the new Samsung S 2 tablets too, and not just Wi-Fi editions...The models that have been certified are the larger 9.7-inch models Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 SM-T815 and SM-T817, and these models will replace the current Samsung SM-T805 models," to quote the main report of Tablet Monkeys.

Based on the specs sheet provided by Phone Arena, the two new tablets would be the "slimmest tablets available" as it would only be 5.4 mm thick. Also, the two new tablets would have a Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. It is also said to have an aspect ratio of 4:3. Plus, it will also get Exynos 5433 CPU. Its RAM would be at 3GB. As for the camera, the tablets would probably get an 8 megapixel main camera and a 2.1 megapixel selfie shooter. It will also get a 3850mAh battery. As for the software, it is said that it will likely get an Android 5.0.2 installed.

"If we compare the Tab S2 8.0 to the iPad mini 3, the former is overall a tad smaller and noticeably thinner with dimensions of 198.2×134.5×5.4 mm (the iPad mini 3 is 200 x 134.7 x 7.5 mm)," Sam Mobile report detailed.

The 8-inch Galaxy Tab S2 would reportedly weigh 260 grams, lighter than the iPad Mini 3 which weighs 331 grams. The 9.7-inch Samsung tablet is also lighter than the iPad Air 2 as it only weighs 407 grams compared with the latter's 437 grams.

"The Bluetooth certification for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 9.7 shows that it will support Bluetooth 4.1. This particular document also reveals other variants of the tablet," Phone Arena said.

Aside from the SM-T815 model, there will also be three other models -- SM-T815C, SM-T817A, and SM-T817V. These versions, the news outlet said, might point to the different regions where it would be available, as well as for the Wi-Fi only version. These versions are for the 9.7 inches version. As for the smaller version, the model numbers are SM-T715, SM-T715C, SM-T717A and SM-717V. Samsung has yet to confirm these speculations.
