Next week, LG is expected to finally unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the G4. This upcoming model will then be the subject of many reviews and comparisons with the flagship releases of other brands, with predictions on how the handset will fare when it will be released to the buying public.

As early as now, however, a pundit has already cast his 2 cents over how the G4 will fare in comparison to its previous iteration, the G3. A Korean analyst from IBK Investment & Securities said that although the upcoming device is "an impressive product," its sales may not top G3's revenues, as noted by Phone Arena.

"That's because, the analyst says, following the release of Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, which are already wildly successful, 'market conditions will not be favorable,'" the site went on to relay.

Meanwhile, another industry observer thins that putting a Snapdragon 808 processor into G4, instead of the Snapdragon 810, may not be a good move. This speculation is shadowy, though, as no official confirmation has been made that the Snapdragon 808 will be used in the G4.

So far, what's pretty much confirmed is that the flagship smartphone will be equipped with a 16 MP rear camera and a f/1.8 aperture, as well as an 8 MP front camera. The G4 will also sport a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and have a variety of back covers.

A couple of days ago, the G4 was leaked on the Internet via what appears to be an accidentally live page dedicated to the upcoming product, showing a number of things. One of them was the gadget having a removable microSD card slot and replaceable battery. A significant observation was the fact that the G4 may come in leather back covers.

Considering the success of the award-winning G3, as evidenced by the 10-million-unit sales, the G4 needs to prove it's a worthy successor if LG wants another hit on its hands.

In November last year, Trusted Reviews said that, based on the South Korean tech company's product road map, the firm may be releasing a phone wit a bendable display in 2015. Considering that the G4 is expected to be released this year, some pundits assumed that the upcoming handset may bend.

"It's not clear whether LG means the phone can be bent in your hands, or if they're referring to over-edge screens like the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge boasts, either way, it appears the technology will be heading to the upcoming LG G4," the site said.
