Apple chief Tim Cook recently declared that the company is working on what he has dubbed as the "mother of all products." And no, it's not the rumored Apple car or the next iPad iteration - it's actually the tech juggernaut's corporate campus.

This is not the first time that Steve Jobs' successor has nicknamed anything with this phrase. Two years ago, in 2013, he was heard calling 2012 as "the mother of all years" as it was the year the company released the most products ever in its history, as noted by the Los Angeles Times.

Then last year, Cook was once again quoted using a similar phrase, although this time, it's to say that the launch of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus "will trigger the mother of all upgrades," as reported by Wall Street Journal.

Sounds like the man likes to frame epic events with a maternal tone. However, this time, the expression is apt as the "product" in question will house Apple staff - which effectively evokes a maternal image.

"It shouldn't be a place that doesn't turn on your creative juices," Cook told Fortune about the under-construction, doughnut-shaped facility that has been often likened to a spaceship. Right now, it's been temporarily named "Apple Campus 2."

"I hate the word 'headquarters,' " he explained.

"Apple is investing in cutting-edge technology to manage tasks as mundane as parking," the news source said. "A system of sensors and apps will play traffic cop for employees as they enter the facility, eliminating the fuel-wasting hunt for a parking place."

Another key element of the facility that excited Cook was the fact that the campus will house an "underground, 1,000-seat auditorium so the company's popular product announcements can be on Apple's own turf and schedule," Time noted. This will eliminate the need or constraints in synchronizing staff schedules for the event.

While this facility has figured in the news in the past, its completion has been eagerly observed as the architectural wonder (at least on paper) showed much promise tech and environment-wise. Jobs had reportedly spent the last 2 years of his life planning the corporate hub, which, judging by his obsession for details, may likely turn out to be nothing less than perfect. Cook had even declared that the HQ will be "the greeenest building on the planet," as noted by The Guardian.

According to the company's environmental impact report on the facility, Apple will use recycled materials and pledged to plant 7,000 new trees, among other things.
