ZombiU is one of the most anticipated titles to launch on the Wii U. The game is a third party exclusive that features players attempted to escape from London in the middle of a zombie outbreak.

The game features a great deal of unique gameplay features that will take advantage of Nintendo's gamepad and utilize it in a wide range of manners. In one instance it functions as a sonar scanner; at another it will also allowing gamers to change their inventory on the fly. Another feature is that while gamers try to unlock a door using the gamepad, the camera on the TV shows the zombies chasing after the player to create tension. The gamepad can also zoom in as the sniper scope and serves more immediate functions. If a player gets caught by a Zombie, they must shake free with the gamepad.

A new video has surfaced revealing the game's multiplayer mode. On player will play as a survivor attempting to destroy a vast amount of Zombies while the other plays as the Zombie King and tries to capture flags. The scenario sets up for a unique gameplay mechanic that is eerily similar to multi-player options in Resident Evil 6. In that title, players can play as a member of the undead and attempt to take down the officers.

Zombi U was originally entitled Killer Freaks from Outer Space when it was announced back in 2011. According to the Verge, associate producer Nicolas Robin stated that the game was fast paced and action packed. It included cooperative and competitive experiences that the developers ultimately found uninteresting. Because the game was so fast paced, the developers did not feel that the game gave players ample time to focus on both the gamepad and TV. They decided to include slow Zombies that would give players a chance to glance at both.
