A new Nexus 7 device is said to come out this year. Android Origin reported that it is possible that Google and LG could partner to launch a new Nexus 7 this year. Citing Korean news site E Today, Android Origin reported that there were engineers from Google who went to the LG headquarters last week for a tour. It is speculated that talks of plans for a possible Nexus 7 successor have been made during the visit.

Android Origin also revealed that there are speculations that LG would also be making a new Nexus smartphone, a possible successor to the Nexus 6. It is in partnership with Huawei. "It could be that Huawei will be manufacturing the Nexus smartphone this year and LG will be manufacturing the tablet. Or it could also be possible that LG will be making both the smartphone as well as the tablet, with Huawei coming out with budget variants of these devices for the masses," the report said.

This is not the first time that Google and LG worked together. The have already worked together for the release of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smartphones. As of the moment, Android Origin says no information about the new Nexus smartphone and tablet has been divulged. But it estimates that fans could wait for it in the second half of the year "as Google is likely to announce new Nexus devices in September or October."

Meanwhile, Android Headlines said that the 2013 version of the Nexus 7 has been put on sale on eBay. The 32 GB WiFi model of the device now just have a $184.99 price tag, 38% or $115 off from the original $299.99 price.

According to the spec sheet provided by GSM Arena, the Nexus 7 (2013) has the dimensions 200 x 114 x 8.7 mm (7.87 x 4.49 x 0.34 in). The WiFi version weighs 290 grams while the LTE version weighs 299 grams. It is 7-inches with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4Pro chipset and by a 3950 mAh battery. It has 16/32 GB internal memory and a 2 GB RAM. It has a 5 megapixel main camera and a 1.2 megapixel selfie shooter.

In a related development, Phone Arena reported earlier that the new Motorola built Nexus 6 device is now available on Verizon stores. The device is priced at $649.99. But buyers can also opt to go with a two year contract and get it at only $249.99. Or they can choose the $27.08 a month with Verizon Edge. Verizon only has the 32GB unit Midnight Blue version.

Nexus 6 is a device with 6-inch AMOLED screen and resolution of 1440 x 2560. It is powered by a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 CPU with the Adreno 420 GPU for graphics. It has 3GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel main camera, a 2 megapixel front-facing shooter, and a 3220mAh battery.
