New photos from the upcoming movie "Terminator 5: Genisys" have been unveiled. According to Screen Rant, the new photos were published in the pages of the May 2015 issue of the Empire magazine. One particular photo featuring Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor and actor-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger even made it to its cover page.

"Empire's cover feature wants your clothes, your boots and your undivided attention. Thirty years after he first clanked menacingly onto our screens as The Terminator, Arnie is back as a T-800 in Terminator Genisys, a fresh retooling of James Cameron's sci-fi actioner helmed by Alan 'Thor: The Dark World' Taylor. We headed to Hollywood to talk to Schwarzenegger, Taylor and producer/driving force David Ellison to deliver the most comprehensive analysis of the new Terminator this side of the Cyberdyne servers," a teaser provided by the magazine reads.

Check out the Empire cover photo here. There are also other photos released courtesy of Comic Book Movie. One of the stills also revealed J.K. Simmons' character, Detective O'Brien.

Screen Rant said the new screenshots do not provide specific details about the upcoming movie. It did not give us hints on who sent a T-800 back in time to save Sarah from SkyNET in the first place. The news outlet also said that Simmons' character looks like just a regular person.

This somehow confirms Simmons' earlier statement saying that he just has a "small part" in the movie. "[M]ost of my stuff was with Jai Courtney and Emilia Clarke and Arnold was very involved or rather I was involved in a fair amount of stuff with Arnold. I spent very little time actually with Jason Clarke, but yeah I got to work with all four of the leads of the film and from the table read on, I was just favorably impressed by everybody's work. Also everybody's attitude and what they brought to work with them every day and how there was no BS and diva tantrums. It was a good experience overall," to quote him.

Not much is known about Simmons' character but Screen Rant said there have been speculations before that his role would be an "alcoholic detective who's spent decades keeping tabs on Sarah Connor."

Here is a synopsis provided by Coming Soon:

"When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future..."
