HBO's hit fantasy drama series "Game of Thrones" is not arriving on television screens until April, but teaser photos recently released are giving fans a glimpse of the new characters and storylines that they can expect this coming season five, Cinema Blend reported.

The new photos arrived via the show's official Facebook fan page, numbering more than a dozen in all.

One of the photos that fans will no doubt be happy to see is a sneak peek of none other than of the Mother of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen. The new photos showed Daenerys in a thinner and brighter costume looking over her people. As fans may remember, the Khaleesi has settled down for the meanwhile and started taking on a leadership role, switching from her usual blue regal wear for something smoother and softer.

Cersei Lannister has also opted for a costume change, moving on from her usual brightly-colored gowns for something darker and less flashy. Fans already know that her son Joffrey Baratheon was poisoned during the previous season, while her other son Tommen Baratheon is set to marry Margaery Tyrell. One picture even has Margaery talking to Cersei, so maybe the Queen does have a lot to mourn.

Tyrion Lannister was also shown, sporting a new beard and hiding under a hood as he traveled with Varys to lands unknown, according to Vulture.

Jon Snow is seen dressed in his full Night's Watch costume looking troubled as he talked to Stannis Baratheon, while his half-sister Sansa Stark is shown dressed in black and accompanying Littlefinger. Missandei and Grey Worm were seen together, and fans can only wonder if their romance will continue.

There was also a sneak peek of Arya Stark who, many could remember, ended up in Braavos. A photo showed what might be the House of Black and White, training with the faceless men, according to International Business Times.

There's also a sneak peek of Ellaria Sand talking to Areo, a new character played by Deobia Opaeri. Ellaria was forced to watch her lover die at the hands of the Mountain and as fans of the show know, love is always a good motivator for cold, hard revenge.

Some of the Wildlings who have been taken prisoners by the Knight's Watch will also be returning, led by Tormund Giantsbane. Podrick and Brienne of Tarth will also be continuing their journey, while Cersei was shown talking to her twin brother slash lover Jaime Lannister, no doubt to discuss their father's death.

Some of the photos are new, but the others have also been seen in the official trailer that was unveiled a few days ago. Still, it will no doubt increase anticipation for when "Game of Thrones" season five premieres on April 12, 2015 on HBO.
